Our Story
Cookie Sticker Co is the result of a lifelong passion for planning and scrapbooking. It all began when my Granny introduced me to the world of scrapbooking during my early years. As I grew older, a coworker reintroduced me to planners and invited me to join the wonderful “We love EC” community on Facebook. Within this community, the concept of sending and receiving RAKS (Random Acts of Kindness) every week fascinated me, and I made new friends who shared my love for planning.
However, I noticed a significant void in the market back in 2016. There were very few shops that offered stickers representing Black planners and our cultural tasks. We lacked dolls with our hair textures and styles, and even significant events like Juneteenth were not represented in planners. I realized that there was an opportunity to make a difference and contribute to the community that meant so much to me.
Armed with ideas and determination, I created my first sticker, “wash day,” and soon after, I opened my Etsy shop. The response from the community was overwhelming, and Cookie Sticker Co became an immediate success. With the support of our amazing customers, I knew I had found my calling.
After two years of growth, we launched our own platform, Cookie Sticker Co. This milestone allowed us to connect with an even broader audience and expand our offerings. Our biggest project yet, Washi Tape, became a reality. We aimed to become the first Black-owned washi tape shop, providing diversity in a product beloved by all.
